Sailor Moon Collection

Description

I've been wanting to take a photograph of my Sailor Moon collection for awhile now; always thought it would be kind of cool to do. Its grown so much over the years. ^^

My pride and joy has always been my Sailor Moon manga--not just because they are the originals--but because I have had the majority of these manga for most of my life. I still remember going to the bookstore with my childhood friend and her mother and picking out the first volume of the Sailor Moon StarS. I still remember looking at the first volume of the Sailor Moon SuperS. Despite having the entire manga set, however, I actually have a mixed manga set. The majority of my Sailor Moon Manga are the ones released by Tokyo Pop, with the SuperS being released under Mixx (and yes I am well aware that Mixx and Tokyo Pop are the same company).

The Sailor Moon Guide and the novel released by Smile are just as old as my Tokyo Pop Manga. The guide book was one of my favorite Sailor Moon books; I can actually remember taking it with me during the week I spent with my family at Disney.

Since I wasn't able to read the Codename Sailor V manga while I was young, I purchased the first volume of the reprint. Ironically, I am glad that I did not invest too much into the Codename Sailor V series--Sailor Moon is so much better! However I'll probably continue to collect the rest of V series for the sake of having the first volume. The same can be said about the reprinted Sailor Moon manga. Even though I think the translations suck; their bindings are sooo much better than the originals (you have no idea how hard it is to read the originals without taking out a page by accident)!

I used to have almost the entire Sailor Moon anime on VHS, but then everything converted to DVDs and in an act of complete stupidness, I donated the old VHS tapes to the local library (if only I had known they'd be worth so much now....T^T). So I was never really able to gain back the VHS episodes, although my sister was duped into purchasing a bootlegged version of the entire Sailor Moon Series (its not all good quality, but at least I can watch some of the old episodes in Japanese).

I have about 6 different sets of the Sailor Moon card games--one of which I actually have nearly 3 complete sets (I am only missing a few of the foil cards and rare cards).

The Scepter, Star Locket, and the CD are second in age only to my Tokyo Pop manga. Both items still work and the CD has my favorite English Sailor Moon song.

The two plushies and action figures were bought during the Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary release, so I'm looking forward to collecting all of them!

I was able to get the entire first set of the Sailor Moon Mini Tablets while I was at Ancient Con with my sister! I originally had just purchased the Eternal Broach, but once I learned it was part of a set, I wanted to get the rest of them. Turns out that Luna-P is the hardest one to find out of this set and I was so lucky that I went back for the others when I did. Apparently, there are ten of these little tablets that come in a box and out of those ten, there is only one Luna-P. Thank God the guy had another box that had yet to be opened or else I wouldn't have found Luna-P!

My little Sailor Moon Cup and necklace are also favorites of mine; they are both so cool. ^^

And that is my little collection! X3 I look forward to expanding it, though my room my suffer for it. XD

P.S. Even though my Sailor Moon Short Stories book is in another language, I keep it because its cool to look at and to learn from!

Oh gawd...that book..that book. If only I'd known I would have made sure it was english...

And I didn't k ow you went to another con?
You're stepping ahead of me as an an otaku-no fair! (lol j/k)

Eventually I may end up selling my SM DVD collection. I got a pretty good copy, but I never watch them which is a shame because I spent a pretty penny on them.

But I'm happy I could cotribute to the collection. It's massive! XD
